Terahertz radiation sits between microwave and infrared on the electromagnetic spectrum (0.1–10 THz). It is the same frequency range at which healthy human cells naturally vibrate — making it uniquely biocompatible. Unlike X-rays or UV, terahertz is non-ionising and causes no cellular damage.
